Anthony Lewis Obituary

1978 ~ 2014
Our brilliant star, charismatic son, loving brother, faithful grandson and compassionate friend, Anthony William Lewis, unexpectedly began the next chapter in the journey of his soul on the morning of October 27, 2014, in Sandy, Utah. He was born June 9, 1987 in Oakland, California to Mark and Milagros Lewis.
His talents allowed us to find the back beats in life. His positivity taught us how to accept without prejudice. His clarity continues to teach us to live with out worry; "It is what it is," he would say. Yet now we bear the burden of all those who have lost someone too soon. Tony, you will always be missed. We will relive your humorous wit, tell stories of your grace and learn from your hardship so that the true meaning of your soul will never be lost. We hold tightly to our experiences with you and hope you watch over and remind us always that "it's all okay." Show us your smile in the clouds, stars and through the faces of strangers. We are so grateful to have been a part of your rhythmic life.
Anthony is survived by his mother, Milagros Lewis, father Mark Lewis, sister Leani Lewis, stepmother Cathy, stepbrother Nic, grandfather Gerald Lewis and grandmother's Jean Lewis and Aurea Manacop, as well as, loving family member Steve. There are many more family and friends who will miss him greatly. Preceded in death by his Godfather Eloy T. Tafoya (Uncle Tim).
Services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Southeast Christian Church (1881 East Vine Street Salt Lake City UT 84121) at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, Anthony would want donations made to the Road Home Shelter in Salt Lake City in his name.

Mark and Cathy,
I just returned and learned of Tony's death. There are no words worthy of the loss of a son and I am devastated for your grief. You are surrounded by people who love you and care about you.
