1950 ~ 2014
On November 6th, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and dear friend passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 3, 1950 to William Reed Cossey and Lila Mae Hamilton. She married her sweetheart, John Bendowski, on April 2, 1971 in the Manti temple. They bought their home in Copperton in 1972 and have loved there ever since.
She made many lifelong friends there while serving as Relief Society President, Young Women's President, Primary President, working with the Activities Committee and many others. The lives she touched are too numerous to count. She loved to serve the community and stay busy at work, where she worked with Dr. Gailey for over 30 years. She loved gardening, shopping, playing racquetball, reading, taking care of her special dog Mollie, spending time with her family, and most of all her grandchildren and great grand baby. She was a well-rounded woman and everyone who knew her, loved her. Our lives will not be the same without her.
She is survived by her daughter, Noel Clement; son, Josh (Heather) Bendowski; granddaughters, Rylie (Ryan) Diem, Amethyst Bendowski; grandsons, Charles and Lucas Clement, and great grandson Hunter Diem; her stepfather, Jack Hansen; sisters, Diane Schmidt and Sheila Hales, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband John and her parents.
The family wishes to thank CNS nursing, who were fantastic with her in her last days, along with the cancer team at IMC.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. at the Copperton Ward, 350 Hillcrest St., Copperton. There will be a viewing Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale, and again Monday one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.

I miss her everyday, along with Joe and John whom died the same year! It was an awful year!!!! Time flies by so fast I know they are busy and healthy and happy in the spirit world! Til we meet again!!!!

I will never forget how Sherrie would call me about appointments or tell me in the office- that she loved me. And I knew she did too! Always so positive, so sweet, and will not be forgotten!

I've known Sherrie for almost my entire life from going to Dr. Gailey's office. She truly was loved by everyone who knew her. I always looked forward to seeing her sweet face and she made going to the dentist a lot more pleasant! I hope she felt the many many prayers said on her behalf during her health struggles. What a wonderful lady she was and I was blessed to know her! Til we meet again!

What a beautiful lady and an angel at that. She did so much for others and for the people in the town of Copperton. We love her and pray for the Lord's blessings on her family left behind. God bless.

I am so sorry to hear of Sherrie's passing. She was always so cheerful. I always enjoyed the chats we had through the years whenever I was waiting to see Dr. Gailey. She loves her family and she loved talking about them. May the Lord send the comfort you need.

Our hearts are saddened by Sherrie's passing. She fought a valiant battle with cancer and endured to the end. I will miss our fun trips with Joe and John, the movies,games with the Randall's. And a host of other things we have done and enjoyed over the years. I love you Sherrie! and I also love your family! So sorry Noel & Josh, your mom was an amazing lady!

I will miss Sherrie's sweet and cheerful greeting whether you saw her in person or talked with her at Dr. Craig Bailey's office over the years. Her kind and gentle spirit always came through no matter what was going on with her. God bless her sweet family and friends with peace and solace. You were/are loved, Sherrie!:-)
