David Whitmer Obituary
Sandy, Utah-David A. Whitmer, 72, of St. George, UT, passed away surrounded by love on Nov. 18, 2014.
David was preceded in death by two children, survived by two former wives, nine children and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and brothers. David was a fun loving father, grandfather and friend.
David loved homing pigeons, horses, music, and practical jokes. He also enjoyed movies and reading. He made a good career out of building homes and being creative. He had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh. He could tell fun stories for hours and enjoyed entertaining people. He will be deeply missed and loved always.
A memorial will be on Saturday, November 22, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.starksfuneral.com.

David, teacher and friend. Just heard of your passing. I know your on to greater opportunities and enlightenment. Thanks for sharing your time and energy with me in learning of higher and loftier things. One of the sweetest things you taught me was to ask my self this..."Does it benefit a few? or many?" This little sentence has stayed with me all these years. Thank you! Put a good word in for me. It won't be long and I'll be there too! :) My condolences to your family. <3 Love to all

Thank you again Dave for the great spiritual awareness you and Auston brought into my life. My parents have had a great influence on me but know one awakened me to truth as you have. I remember our time together in the nineties as one of the great highlights of my life. I have always felt privileged to get to know you in a way few others were able. My heart goes out to your family at this time and all those who you touched with your life. Yours was a special calling of which many are grateful you accepted.
