Linda Gundersen Obituary
On the evening of April 24, 2015 surrounded by her family Linda's battle with cancer had come to an end and she has now returned to her loving Father in Heaven. Linda was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Linda had the most unconditional and selfless love for anyone that knew her. She was so willing to do anything for anyone, she never let anyone do anything for her even when she knew she needed it most, but that was just the kind of person she was.
Linda was also a very hard working woman. Graduating from Salt Lake Community College with her Paralegal degree. She had worked for many years as a paralegal where she also met and married her husband Ray Gundersen. Linda later continued her education at the University of Utah graduating with a Bachelors of Science, after which she then worked side by side with her husband for many years as an electrical designer in many companies including their own.
Linda had a love and a great talent for music. She performed and directed all over the Wasatch Front in numerous choirs and had the opportunity to sing some of her own solos and also sang in a band. Linda was very tenacious in her many talents which included: karate (brown belt), floral design, gardening, cooking, and craft making.
Linda was a true example of love, selflessness, compassion, integrity, courage, stubbornness, and pure talent.
Linda is survived and loved by her husband Ray Gundersen, Children- Tammy Lee Wyke, John William Gundersen, Stormy Dawn Lefavor Brothers and Sisters- Connie (Ken) Hill , Steve (Sharron) McIff, Marilyn (Kemp) Phelps, Kent (Michelle) McIff, Rodney (Tammy) McIff, Christine (Steve) Huntington, Roger (Valerie) McIff, Douglas (Sharida) McIff, Jay (Martha) McIff 24 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9th, 2015, at 11 a.m. The viewing will be held prior to that at 10 a.m. Both services will be held at the chapel on 5360 W. 7000 S. West Jordan, UT 84081. Interment: Murray City Cemetery. Online Condolences: www.jenkins-soffe.com
