Dr. Arven Vernon Grow

A great man, passed away March 11, 2016, in Murray Utah. Vernon Grow was born in Wanship, Utah, on January 1, 1925, to Lawrence H Grow and Thressa Matilda Vernon. He was the 5th of 6 children. He grew up on a ranch and attended North Summit High school. He served in the US Navy during World War II in the Pacific as a radioman. After the war he attended college and graduated from Western States College in Portland OR where he received his ND and DO He was married to his sweetheart, Brigitte Grow, for 52 years. He loved dancing, ranching, traveling, the outdoors, camping but most of all he loved his family and his Heavenly Father. He especially loved playing and watching the grandkids. He was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Matilda; brother ,Raymond; sisters, Nina, Etta, and Marie. Survived by sister, Verla; wife, Brigitte; children, Larry, Kevin, Laurelei, Karmella, Peggy, Michele, Derrick, Michael, Jeffery and Jason. He had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A gathering will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at 1:30 PM at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah, with a viewing Tuesday, March 15, 2016, from 6-8 PM. Interment will be in Wanship City Cemetery, Wanship, Utah.
