Virginia Young Obituary

Virginia "Ginger" Young 1949 ~ 2007 Virginia "Ginger" Arleen Ames Young passed away January 20, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 6, 1949 to Alford Lucain and Jean Leone Powell Ames in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Melvin Young September 6, 1968 and had two wonderful boys, Corey and Kelly Young. She worked for National Semiconductor, later known as Fairchild Semiconductor, for 30 years. She leaves behind her husband, Melvin Young; sons, Corey and Kelly (Michelle) Young; grandson, Logan; extended grandkids, Preston and Emily Ard; brothers, Allan (Janeil) Ames, Darrell Ames, Roger (Charlene) Ames; sisters, Margie (Randy) Penegar, Patricia Thayne; and lots of nieces and nephews that loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Mikell and Jack Ames; and grandson, Chance Young. Special thanks to her daughter-in-law, Michelle for taking very good care of our wife, mother, and sister. Thank you to all the staff at Intermountain Home Care Hospice for your care and support. She will be missed by all who knew her. "Goodbye, for now, my little sister. May the angels take you under their wings and may you be in heaven for always." Love, Margie Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the Valley View Mortuary Chapel, 4335 West 4100 South, where friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and again Wednesday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to the services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.

Ginger,
I don't know if I ever told you how thankful I was and am that you and Melvin came to the hospital when all the stuff was going on with Mom, it really helped me alot so if I didn't Thank You.
