My mom, Phyllis DeWitt, just spoke about Virginia yesterday. A memory. They were good friends in the 70´s, when we lived in San Antonio. Virginia´s daughter (? Jeanie) took piano lessons from the same teacher as me (Sue DeWitt Prater),,,, Mr. Volks. Both Virginia and my mom lost a son the same way.

I remember when Virginia would come to our house for lunch with my mom sometimes, and vice versa. My mom brought me a few times when she visited Virginia for lunch at her house. And Virginia would play the guitar so beautifully!

A funny memory... I overheard a conversation between the two of them, and something they said about "men can be babies". LOL! It was so amusing to me, because both of their husbands, (one was my dad) were such accomplished and dignified men
I´ve never forgotten that, and it has come in as a handy peace of wisdom in my life.

My mom Phyllis DeWitt, is now 92 yrs old, and lives in San Antonio, at an independent retirement community, Blue Skies.
I live near Houston.

God bless, for Virginia.

My mom's friend for over 40 years. They met in San Antonio, raising thier kids, before my mom moved to Washington. I visited with Virginia several times, tagging along with my mom. I remember her wonderful guitar playing! I know my mom Phyllis DeWitt, is so saddened by her passing. We will be attending the Memorial Service. Signed, Sue DeWitt Prater

My condolences to Virginia's family. I had some wonderful years providing Virginia's hair services for her. I really enjoyed our conversations and especially hearing her laugh. I know you will all miss her greatly!
