BAUER
Harry H. Bauer, Jr., of Schertz, TX was born February 18, 1933 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Harry H. Bauer, Sr. and Alice English Bauer of Minnesota.
Harry entered into rest September 19, 2013 at 12:20 am.
He served his country both in the U.S. Navy, and in the U.S Air Force (during the Vietnam War) and retired from active military service in 1970.
After his military service, he continued to serve his community as both a Boy Scout Master and as a baseball coach. Harry is preceded in death by his brother Thomas E. Bauer.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley De Montel Bauer of Schertz; children Terry L. Bauer (wife Hazel) of Schertz and Bryan J. Bauer of Nampa, Idaho; grandchildren Joshua Bauer, Amy Bauer, Sarah Martinez, Randy Bauer, and Tyler Clemens; six great grandchildren; siblings Richard Bauer (wife Marlene), sister-in-law Debi Bauer, Joyce Mondry (husband Howard), Louise Cook (husband Richard), John Bauer (wife Barbara), and Donna Roedeske (husband Sonny) all of Minnesota; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, September 24 at 10:00am at the Schertz Funeral Home with an interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
