Sexton Jr., James Harold - Pleasanton  
SEPTEMBER 2, 1954 - APRIL 24, 2016 Texas resident James Harold Sexton, Jr., 61, passed away April 24, 2016 at his home in Pleasanton, TX. James was born September 2, 1954 at Lackland Air Force Base, TX to James Sr. and Angelita Sexton. Following in the footsteps of his father, James joined the military in 1971. He served his country in the United States Navy as a gunners mate aboard the USS Paul Revere during the Vietnam War. James was a successful business man in the security sector for Matrix at the San Antonio Airport before joining his wife Susan at Texas Land Exchange. He was a very generous man who was always willing to help out a loved one any way he could. He was a proud Texan who was very fond of his herd of longhorns. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Texas State Rifle Association and the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America. He loved playing the guitar, watching football (especially his favorite team The University of Texas Longhorns), and staying up late watching movies with his grandchildren. His hobbies included collecting stamps, sports cards, law enforcement patches and leatherworking. One of his favorite past times was having family over for dinner on Sundays. He was an exceptional husband, father, grandfather, son and brother who will greatly be missed. He died at home on a Sunday surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his father, James H. Sexton Sr. and survived by his wife, Susan Sexton; son, Eric Sexton (wife Jessica and son Liam); daughter, Crystal Kelly (son Aedan); son, Jay Sexton (wife Kasey and children Shyanne & Kolton); daughter, Jennifer Sexton and son, Landon Sexton; mother, Angelita Sexton; sisters, Debbie, Angela, and Paula, along with numerous other family members. "We have an angel in heaven watching over us, we call him "Dad." Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Chapel on McCullough Ave. Service Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Porter Loring Chapel. Shadrock, Oscar - San Antonio  
August 20, 1932 - April 23, 2016 Oscar Shadrock, age 83, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016 in San Antonio. Oscar retired as Plant Operations Director for Metropolitan Hospital after 20 plus years of dedicated service. He was also an avid farmer and one who could fix anything. Oscar was a devoted family man, loving husband, father and Papaw. He was preceded in death by, his wife of 53 years, Joan Shadrock, and his brother, Anton Shadrock. Oscar is survived by his daughters, Susan Cole and husband RC, Brenda Sparling and husband Joe; grandchildren, Steven Sparling (Alex), Nicci Stech (Owen). Dani Sparling, Jessica Sparling; brother, Herbie Shadrock; sister, Claudine Armstrong (Foy); sister-in-law, Cel Shadrock; and special extended family, Joe Skalski and Derek Sparling. The family extends their appreciation to Hospice Compassus and Sommer Wofford for their care. Silber, Gloria Mindes - San antonio  
JUNE 29, 1933 - APRIL 23, 2016 Gloria Mindes Silber (Gogo), wife of Gerald Silber, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday April 23rd in Houston, Texas, while visiting family. A lifelong resident of San Antonio, Gloria was born on June 29, 1933 to Ben and Si Mindes of blessed memory. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and attended The University of Texas. She was married to Gerald for more than 62 years and was an active member and supporter of Temple Beth-El and so many other Jewish organizations in San Antonio. Survivors include husband Gerald Silber, son Brent Silber (Renee), daughter Suellen Rosmarin (A. J.), son Reagan Silber, daughter Heidi Bazarsky (Bobby), nine grandchildren: Marci Rosmarin Gilbert (Jeffrey), Shannon Silber, Shelley Rosmarin, Lindsey Silber Putterman (Matthew), Reagan Bazarsky, Will Bazarsky, Brett Bazarsky, Taylor Bazarsky and Rome Silber, and two precious great grandsons: Logan and Graham Gilbert. Gogo also leaves behind her two Labradoodles, Molly and Cowboy. A true woman of valor and an entrepreneur, Gloria was co-owner of Name Droppers for more than 20 years, where her knack of style influenced the best-dressed women of San Antonio for years. Her family was first and foremost in her life, and hosting Passover and Thanksgiving Holidays each year was an annual highlight. Annual family vacations to Port Aransas, cruises all over the world and frequent trips to the poker room at The Bellagio in Las Vegas were staples and the most cherished parts of her life. Her circle of friends spanned all ages, and Gloria was most comfortable in any setting, as she exuded confidence, grace and integrity, expecting the same in return. She was a sports fan of anything University of Texas and also the San Antonio Spurs. She was a loyal, loving, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose opinion was valued and respected. or else. Weekly poker games and Mah Jongg with friends kept her very active. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Stanley Mindes. Silva, Delia - San Antonio  
January 9, 1928 - April 30, 2016 Delia Peterson Silva, born on January 9, 1928 in San Antonio, TX was called to be with our Lord on April 30, 2016 at the age of 88. Mrs. Silva loved traveling and was an avid traveler around the world. She volunteered for VITA, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance of San Antonio and the Las Palmas Library for many years. She enjoyed attending the theatre and new restaurants. She is preceded in death by her son, Charles A. Silva. She is survived by her sons, Albert P. (Silvia) Silva and Arthur P. Urdialez, Consuelo "Connie" - San Antonio  
May 22, 1930 - April 30, 2016 Consuelo "Connie" Urdialez was called home to be with the Lord, on April 30, 2016, at the age of 85. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Tony Urdialez, son Tony Urdialez Jr, daughter Mary Ann Urdialez and grandson Moses Maldonado III. October 19, 1930 - April 30, 2016 Pedro "El Jefe" Valdillez Sr. of San Antonio passed away peacefully among family on April 30, 2016. He served 2 years in the Marine Corp.
