Antonio Castano III

CASTANO

Antonio Charles Castano III, a descendent of one of San Antonio's original Canary Islander families, age 90, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2013. He was a proud veteran who served in the US Navy with the Navy Seabees during WWII. He was a member of Nat M. Washer Lodge No.1270, AF&AM 12 and a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite Bodies. Antonio retired from the Air Force Civil Service after over 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Maria A. Castano, his children from his first wife Vita C. Castano: Antonio Charles Castano IV; David Gary Castano and Lydia Diane Castano; and his beloved granddaughter, Jaclyn A. Castano. Antonio had an amazing strength, courage and humor ~ we will miss his special love of family and friendships. Those lives he touched will remember his loyalty, as a man should be, a true man of his word.
