Arthur Amaya

AMAYA
Arthur Andrew Amaya, age 85, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013 in San Antonio, TX after fighting a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born on January 1, 1928 in Houston, TX to parents, Andrew and Mary Amaya. Arthur was a graduate of Jefferson High School and attended Trinity University. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Amaya. Arthur is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alice Cavazos Amaya; children, Mary Guilfoyle (Frank), Barbara Amaya, Kimberly Amaya, Arthur Amaya, Pamela Vosberg, Jimmy Amaya (Suzette); grandchildren, Shannon Guilfoyle, Amber Guilfoyle, Christopher Guilfoyle, Eduardo Martinez, Eric Amaya, Jacob Vosberg, Natalie Vosberg, and Andrea Vosberg; brothers, Earl and Daniel Amaya; and sister, Rose Herold. The family would like to thank Alamo Hospice and Caregivers, Art, Albert, Lynette, Andrea and Alexandria. The family will receive friends at 6:30 P.M. at St. Luke's Catholic Church on Thursday, February 28, 2013.
