Charles Sherman

Charles Delma Sherman went home to his Lord on Thursday, July 18, 2013. Born to Felix M. Sherman and Olga Ann Dalton on October 16, 1933, in Huntsville, TX. Charles earned a BA degree from the University of Iowa, a Masters of Divinity from Wartburg Seminary and a Masters in Counseling and Guidance from St Mary's University. At various times he worked as a church minister and as a vocational rehabilitation counselor for multiple companies. He was the pastor of River City Living Church when he retired in 2009. He touched many lives, aiding people, who erroneously believed God could not love them for who they are, into relationship with Him.
He is survived by: his devoted life-partner of 45 years, Gerald Findley; his three loving daughters: Laura (Robert) Velasquez, Andrea (Tom) Eckstein and Michelle (Robert) McIntosh; his 12 adoring grandchildren, one great-grandson and countless wonderful friends. He will always remain in our hearts.
Visitation for Charles will be at Mission Park Funeral Chapel South, Sunday, July 21, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be celebrated 1:00 P.M., Monday, July 22, 2013 at Mission Park Funeral Chapel South. The interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
