Conception Deluna

Conception "Connie" Deluna, 81, of San Antonio, Texas passed away after a lengthy illness on April 3rd, 2013 in Manassas, Virginia where she lived with her sister and brother inlaw.
As a pro-education activist she earned a Bachelor and Master's degree from the University of Incarnate Word and a Master's degree from the University of Texas in Austin Texas. She was a Doctoral candidate at U. T. Austin until she had to put aside her goal to assist her aging and infirm parents.
She retired from the teaching profession after 30 years and as a member of the North East teachers association and the Retired Texas State teachers Association . She will be remembered as a dedicated teacher who fought for the needs of her students and fellow teachers. She was a member of St. Peters Prince of the Apostle Catholic Church for more than 50 years and a member of St. John's Catholic Church - Legion of Mary which she dearly loved. She was also very active with the San Antonio Democratic party. As a loving sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many she will be missed by us all.
She is survived by her brothers Jose, Louis, Richard (Diane), Robert (Bertha), her sister Margaret (Gilbert) and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Arrangements will be held at Alamo Funeral Chapel on 647 N. Alamo, San Antonio, Texas Friday April 5th Rosary at 7:00pm with Funeral Mass Saturday April 6th at 11 am St Peter Prince of Apostles Parish 111 Barilla Place San Antonio, TX.
Burial at St. Fernando Cemetary #2 Saturday April 6,2013.
