Cook Hearn

Cook A. Hearn, of Corpus Christi, went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2013 at the age of 90. Cook was born in Selma, Alabama on April 20, 1923 and married his loving wife, Lourdes V. Godoy from Mexico City, Mexico in 1953. They lived and raised their children in Corpus Christi. Cook served in the US Navy as a Corpsman in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He also worked for the Nueces County Sheriff's Office as a Reserve Deputy in the 1970's and 1980's. Cook enjoyed wood working in his retirement years and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Corpus Christi. Cook was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Thank you Lord for giving everyone that knew and loved him the opportunity to enjoy life with him for 90 years!
Cook is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years; Lourdes V. Hearn, and an infant child. Cook leaves behind eight children; Cook F., John Andres & wife Andrea, Elisa Maria, James Martin & wife Sheryl, William David, Stephen, Charles Gregory, and Daniel Hearn. Grandchildren; Benjamin Paul and Michele Dana Maria. Step grandchildren; Stephanie Gonzales, Tammera Hernandez and Brandon Mangold. Step great grandchildren, Ethan, Faith and Avery Hernandez of Hondo, and Nathan and Dominic Gonzales of Little Rock, Arkansas. He is also survived by his sisters in laws in México City; doña Elisa VILLAFANA GODOY, doña Emma Graciela VILLAFANA GODOY, doña Yolanda VILLAFANA GODOY, and doña Martha VILLAFANA GODOY.
Funeral service burial with full military honors will be held Friday, May 3, 2013 at 10:00 am at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery.
