Cornelius Ripps

Ret. MSgt. Cornelius Ripps, born Sept. 12, 1915, died July 12, 2014. Farmer, rancher, mechanic, Texas National Guard air technician, he resided in San Antonio 22 years, Lytle 38 years, returned to San Antonio for two years and lived in Floresville one year. He is survived by his wife, Ann; son, Gregory, daughter-in-law, Noralyn, and their daughter, Mary Lochellen; stepson, Clifford Gribble, daughter-in-law, Yvonne, and their children, Meagan, Clifford Joseph and Jennifer Gribble; sister, Hildegarde Boening; brother, Leonard Ripps; many nieces and nephews. Visitation 5 p.m. and rosary 7:30, both at Porter Loring Mortuary on McCullough Ave. July 17. Funeral mass 11:30 a.m. at St. Gerard's Church, 1523 Iowa St., and internment in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1 p.m., both July 18.
