Domingo Delgado born on May 25, 1924 in Seguin, Texas passed from the loving arms of his wife, Betty Ann, to the loving arms of the Lord on March 23, 2013. Domingo was a proud veteran having fought in the European Theater during WWII
, and of the Korean War
. He was also very proud to be a 4th Degree Knight in the Fraternal Order of the Knights of Columbus, Assembly 1102. Domingo was pre-deceased by his parents, Justo Delgado and Dolores Guerrero Delgado, and by eight brothers and four sisters. He is survived by only one sister, Maria Paiz. Domingo is also survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Betty Ann Delgado. Surviving children are Dora D.Gutierrez (Rogelio), Diana D. De La Cruz, Daniel Delgado (Shelley), David Delgado, Dalia D. Haugen (Kip), Melissa Brown (Rich), Thomas Gonzalez (Marija), Gregory Gonzalez (Lori); brothers-in-law, Henry Rangel (Rebecca, Deceased), Tony Rangel (Cindy); sisters-in-law, Sister Rosemary Rangel, O.L.C., Gloria Salsedo (Jerry), Diana Duncan (David); 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; also numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. The family would like to thank his caregiver, Maria Hernandez; neighbors Esmeralda Hernandez, and Veronica Garcia; and the staff at Continue Care and the Audie Murphy Memorial VA Hospital, all of whom assisted Mom in her devoted care of dad. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. at Alamo Funeral Chapels with a rosary to be recited that evening at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
