Donald Mach

Donald J. Mach has entered into our Lord's care on Monday, February 11, 2014. Born in El Campo,Texas he attended St. John's Seminary followed by graduating from St. Mary's University with his law degree. Don practiced law in Bexar and Atascosa counties for over 40 years as a civil and criminal attorney. He was very well respected by his colleagues and was once voted one of "The Best Criminal Lawyers in San Antonio." He was an active, original member of the Harp and Shamrock Irish Society once serving as their president. Don was honored as"Irish Man of the Year"in 1982 and served as their parade commissioner for several years. His friends will always remember him for his sense of humor and generosity. Many of his clients will remember him for his pro bono services helping them through difficult times in their lives. Don was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He is survived by his many friends, former spouse Sue Miller and mother their son Patrick Mach and his stepsister Trisha Miller, her three grandchildren, his loving wife Sharry Mach, and his five bothers and sisters Leona Coad, Charles Mach, Bernice Boone, Dolores Cleborne, and Michael Mach. Funeral arrangements are being made through Mission South Funeral Home,1700 S.E. Military Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78211. A public viewing will held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014 and the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at San Jose Mission at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18,2014. Burial service will take place at Holy Cross Memorial Park Cemetery in El Campo, Texas at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014.
