Doris Ann Carrico, 79, passed away on Friday morning, October 25, 2013, in Vitas Inpatient Hospice Unit, San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Huntington, West Virginia. After graduating from Vinson High School, Class of 1952, she joined the U.S. Navy
. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Mae Carrico, her brothers Richard, Jack and Jerry Carrico, and her son Gregory Michael Moore. Her survivors include her daughters Marsha Sojot and Lisa Moore, her sons Kelly and Christopher Moore, grandchildren Lee and Christopher Sojot, Joshua and Matthew Dowdy, and Stacey and Stephanie Moore, great-grandchildren Tianna, Angelica, Alyna, McKenzie, Ciara, Tiana, Julissa, and Ryker. Doris enjoyed life to the fullest and lived in West Virginia, Tennessee, California, Hawaii, Florida and Texas. She loved studying astrology with her many friends and she had a lifelong love of books, along with the bible, she loved reading books by James Patterson. She loved music, especially Elvis Presley and Josh Turner, playing scrabble, card games and doing crosswords. She donated her body to science to further the education of mankind. She will be remembered by all for her charming wit, kindness, and generosity.
