God called my wife Enriqueta Delgado of 71 years home. On Wednesday she passed peacefully after receiving the sacrament of anointing and in my presence, along with our children, and some grandchildren. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1922 and grew up here in San Antonio. We were married in 1942 and together we raised 6 children. I was blessed with a most loving and nurturing wife where she was the center of our home, teaching our children by example, by mentoring and by leading by the hand. All our children have successfully moved forward in their lives but returned to our home with 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, our next generation. We attended St. James Catholic Church and where she was an active member of the Guadalupanas. She also participated in numerous community groups including: VFW
, where she was a lifetime member and League of United Latin American Citizens. My wife was my life-long dance partner where we expressed our love in dance winning numerous awards. She was also known for her creative design skills in fashions, jewelry and costume. It was my honor to have been married to a remarkable woman and look forward to dancing with her again in God's kingdom. I am truly missing her. She is survived by my son Julio Delgado, wife Maggie, my daughter Guadalupe Torres, husband Duane, my son Fidel Delgado, my son Luis Delgado and Norma Gilliam, my daughter Maria Dolores Ybarra, husband Roger, and my son Pedro. She is preceded in death by her daughters-in-law Kathleen Delgado and Ginny Delgado.
