Evelyn Reveley

Memorial services for Evelyn Woeltz Reveley, 99, of Temple will be held on Monday the 4th Feb at 2 P.M. at Grace Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Thom Lamb presiding. Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday at San Jose Burial Park in San Antonio, Texas.
Mrs. Reveley died on Sat 26th Jan at home.
Mrs. Reveley was born November 15, 1913 to Annie Mohundro Woeltz and Edwin Henry Woeltz in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Main Avenue High School in San Antonio (where she was a member of the National Honor Society). She graduated from the University of San Antonio (later Trinity University) with a BA in history on May 27, 1940. She taught at elementary schools in San Antonio. On Nov 19, 1942 she married Hugh Price Reveley. With her husband, son and daughter she lived in San Antonio, Hampton Beach, Virginia, and Kerrville, Texas before finally settling in Temple in 1972. She will be remembered lovingly for her strong devotion to all her family and friends.
Survivors include her son, Michael Reveley, MD of England, two grandsons, Colin Reveley and Tom Reveley both of England, and a great-grandaughter, Esme Reveley of England, son-in-law Luther Brewer, MD of Temple, step granddaughter Nancy Flores of Houston, step grandsons Tim Brewer of Beaumont and Chris Brewer of Detroit, Michigan, eight step great grandchildren, a nephew Anthony Woeltz of Boston, Mass, and a niece Jessie Woeltz of New York, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Price Reveley, MD in 1997 and her daughter Marilyn Reveley Brewer in 2011.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (www.bcrfcure.org), the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation (www.bbrfoundation.org) and Meals on Wheels at Grace Presbyterian Church, 2401 S. 57th St., Temple.
