Frank Cardenas

Born in San Antonio, Texas, September 14, 1924, Frank Cantu Cardenas, was called home by the Lord on February 4, 2014, at the age of 89. Frank served honorably in the United States Army during World War II as a Rifleman, Messenger, Anti-tank Gun Crewman with Battery B 666th Field Artillery Battalion in Normandy Northern France. Preceded in death by daughter, Maria Garay; and sons, Jesse and Richard Cardenas. He is loved and will be missed by his wife, Concepcion T. Delgado; children, Frank F. Cardenas, Jr. (Grace), Julio T. Delgado (Linda), Adela C. Martinez (Jesse); Yvonne C. Sanchez; Jeannette Campos (Ramiro), Jackie F. Cardenas and Annette C. Chaffin (Robert); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and extended loving family and friends. Visitation will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Procession departs at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, for a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Catholic Church, 152 Florencia. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Services under the direction of Castillo Mission Funeral Home.
