Harold Johnson

MSGT Harold E. Johnson, USAF Retired, passed away on December 26, 2013. He was born in Rock Creek, Montana on April 9, 1931. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Queen Valena Johnson; brothers: Melvin, Clive, Keith and Steven; Sisters: Elain, Josephine, Lorraine, Juanita, Evangeline, and Evadine. He was the last surviving sibling of the family. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Yoshiko O. Johnson (born in Osaka, Japan); daughter, Linda J. Mendez and husband Carlos F Mendez; and a granddaughter, Akemi Hana Mendez, and son, Robert E. Johnson of Daly City, California. Harold served in the Air Force from 1947 thru 1974 serving in Munitions Maintenance, Supply and Administrative areas. Following retirement, he attended St. Phillips College and then became self-employed in tax preparation and continued this work thru 2013 when he was forced to retire due to health issues.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM on Thursday, January 2 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors.
