Henry William Bollinger passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 1, in San Antonio. He was born in Albany, NY on July 10, 1927. He attended Sienna College in Loudonville, NY, and retired from Sonoco Products Co. in 1984 after 39 years as a plant manager in Canandaigua, NY and Lowell, MA. After retirement he attended Andover Newton Theological Seminary in MA where he became a mentor for pastors. A WWII
and Korean War
veteran, he was a Mason and served as Deacon, Elder and in other leadership positions in the many churches he attended, including the Fellowship of San Antonio.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Jane Ellen; four children: Lynne Balbert (Peter), Mark Bollinger (Kristy), Karen Moore (Michael), and Tracey Lingo (Joseph). In addition he has seven grandchildren: Rebecca Kahn (Jeffrey), Rachel Balbert, Reika du Plessis (Justin), Risa Brown (Dillon), Renna Balbert, Scott Bollinger, and Dustin Bollinger (dec.). He was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren: Cassadie, Christopher, Andrew, Dustin, and Kayla Bollinger, Emily, Isaac and Hannah Kahn.
