Jack Whatley

LCOL (ret) Jack D Whatley went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife of 55 years, Donna, on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at the age of 93. He was born on April 5, 1920 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Jessie & James Whatley. He flew with the Fifteenth Army Air Corps in Italy during WWII, flying 20 missions. He also was in the Korean War and Viet Nam, serving his country for 25 years and retiring from the Air Force in 1966. He lived in McAllen until 2005, when he moved to San Antonio. He is survived by his son, Jack L Whatley and his wife Josie, of San Antonio, and his stepson, Warren H Cheatham and his wife, Marilyn of New Port Richey, FL, 3 grandsons and 4 great-grand children.
Visitation will be on May 23, 2013 at the FCUSA Chapel, 6500 N I 35, San Antonio, from 9:00am to 11:00am, followed by the funeral service and burial, with full military honors at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
