Jerry Bryant

BRYANT
Jerry D. (J.D.) Bryant, Jr., born January 7, 1923, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry D. Bryant, Sr., and brother, Eugene (Hugo) Bryant. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Mitchell Bryant. He is survived by two sisters: Janis Burton of Point Venture, TX and Anita Dockery of Adkins, TX; numerous nieces and nephews. J.D. graduated from Harlandale High School in 1941 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He proudly served during World War II in the Pacific Theater for almost four years as a naval aviator and gunner. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy, he went to work for Southwestern Bell (AT&T) in 1947 and retired in 1985. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of San Antonio.
