Jose Ruiz III, brother, son, and friend joined our Lord God in heaven, Tuesday September 17, 2013. Jose, ever the free-spirit, lived life in the moment. He would never pass an opportunity to experience life to its absolute fullest at every second and was known by all to have a fun-loving spirit and rebellious sense of adventure. Jose lived more in his 23 years than most of us will in our whole lives. Born in San Antonio, TX on October 28, 1989 to parents Jose Ruiz Jr. and Lisa Ann Ruiz, he graduated from John Marshall High School in 2008 and was attending the University of the Incarnate Word, pursuing a bachelor's in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. Jose possessed an incredible amount of determination, and his drive for success was seen in his academics, his fitness, and his professional endeavors. A trendsetter, Jose was known for his sleek sense of style, his sense of humor and his awe-inspiring confidence. He used this drive to inspire and be inspired by those around him, leaving an impression on every person he came across. His motivation to be the best was only matched by the love he held for his friends and family. Jose was always a true friend, and there was never any question as to how much he cared for those he loved the most. Jose was always making plans and looking ahead in life, while never missing any detail in the lives of his loved ones. Jose was and continues to be a source of joy and inspiration. His drive, unbreakable will, and sincerity pushes everyone to make the most of all they have, time. Jose taught us that no obstacle is too high or opponent too formidable. Jose knew he could do anything. Although he leaves us in body, he still lives on in our hearts and minds as exactly who he was: Determined and Loving. He is survived by his father Jose Ruiz, Jr., mother Lisa Rodriguez and step-father, Fidel Rodriguez, his sisters, Lauren Ruiz and Faith Ann Rodriguez, his half-sister, Priscilla Ruiz, his maternal grandparents, John and Elisa Delgado, his paternal grandparents, Jose and Gloria Ruiz, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
