Julio Alfaro

ALFARO
Julio Reyna Alfaro, age 78, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2011 in San Antonio. He was born January 9, 1933 in Lytle, Texas to Nieves and Refugia Alfaro. He joined the military at an early age and served 2 years during the Korean Wars. When he returned home he served in the Army Reserves for over 30 years, retiring as a Sergeant, (E-5). Julio worked civil service in the accounting department at Kelly Air Force Base for over 35 years. Julio was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers. Julio is survived by his wife of 57 years, Baudelia Alfaro; son, Julio Alfaro, Jr. and wife Sofie; daughter, Esther Garza and fiancé Rene; daughter, Mary Lou Shows and husband Von; 7 grandchildren, Stephanie Webb, Carlos Martinez, Zandra Leitch and husband Dave, Lauren DeLaGarza, Jordan Alfaro, Camryn Shows, Jezell Shows; 1 great granddaughter, Evie Webb; 4 brothers; 2 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will have a viewing on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
