DE LA ROSA
Manuel R. De La Rosa age 90 passed away Monday, March 18, 2012. He was a Veteran of WWII having served in both the European and Pacific Theaters, as well as the Korean Conflict and Vietnam while serving his 27 year career as a Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army. After his retirement from the Army, he was employed with and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after a 19 year career. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Cruz C. De La Rosa; his son, Praxedez C. De La Rosa and wife, Julie; his daughters, Cruz A. Douglas and husband, Marion and Elsa Marie Garza and husband, Otto; grandchildren, Rebecca Killian and husband, Jerrod W. Killian, Marcus E. Douglas and wife, Kanina, Matthew E. Douglas, Suzanne T. Douglas, Joseph Anthony Garza, Sara Elizabeth Garza and Melanie Benfield and husband, James; great grandchildren, Adrian D. Ortiz, Jacob P. Killian, Kaleb Cruz Killian, Marisella Douglas, Abigail Douglas, and Isabella Benfield.; numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.
SERVICES
Visitation will begin at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 21, 2013 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Brookehill Funeral Home. Funeral Procession will depart at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, March 22, 2013 for a Mass of Resurrection at 9:30 P.M. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.
