Margeaux Bruce

Margeaux Teresa Bruce, age 45, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2013 in Tahuya, WA. She was born on January 18, 1968 to Wallace and Jane Bruce in Portland, OR. She graduated from Madison High School, received her Associates Degree in Accounting from Salt Lake City Community College and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington. She was employed at the Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound in Bremerton, WA as a Contract Specialist. While there, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and cancer of the liver. At age one she was diagnosed with Ollier's Disease which necessitated a partial amputation of her leg and many surgeries. In spite of all her medical problems, she stayed positive and led a near-normal life. She never gave up! One of her T-shirts read: 'Life isn't perfect, but I am!' She loved camping, gardening, horseback riding, swimming and reading. She played the flute in the marching band and coached a swim team.
Margeaux is survived by her parents, Wallace and Jane Bruce, and her birth mother, Pat Thurston; her sister, Jennifer Earl (Jon), Catherine Bruce, her sons, Christopher and Maxwell Flores, Heather Bruce, her son Alexander Aldridge, her aunt Elisabeth Klyn, and her aunt and uncle Gordon and Joye Pyper. She had 7 cousins and many loving friends.
Interment and a graveside service will be held in Huntsville, Utah. Donations may be made to the Wallace Bruce Family Scholarship Fund - Sunshine Cottage for Deaf Children in San Antonio, TX.
