Mary Mckenna

Mary Ann McKenna, previously known as Mary L. Tausch, age 34, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 26, 2014. A lifelong resident of San Antonio, she was a special person who touched the lives of many in a most wonderful manner. During her brief life on earth she was able to travel much and visited Israel and Ireland. She especially loved Ireland as it spoke to her Celtic heritage. For the last nine years she resided at Reaching Maximum Independence's Mayfair Group Home. She loved and was loved by her fellow residents and staff. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joseph J. Marty and Margaret McKenna Marty. She is survived by her mother, Mary Monroe Marty, who grieves deeply the loss of her only child. She is remembered with love by Frank and Susie Leyva and their families who were to her and are to her mother our family. She is also remembered fondly by the many friends she made in her brief, but happy life in this world. Sweet rest darling and beautiful daughter. Mom loves you more than words can express. At last you are at peace and with God. He has made you whole now in mind, body and spirit. You accomplished with excellence those things which God wanted you to do here, and now you have returned to His loving arms. May you enjoy your heavenly home in which you now dwell, and we shall be together again when Our Lord calls me home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
