Raymond Paul Harle, M.D.

Raymond Paul Harle, M.D., age 85, passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side. Born in San Antonio and raised in Del Rio, graduating from Del Rio High School in 1945. He attended Texas A&M, the University of Texas, and graduated from St. Mary's University. In 1955, he graduated from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. Dr. Harle was the first physician to admit a patient to Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital. He faithfully served the San Antonio community as a Family Medicine physician for 55 years. Next to his family, his passion was medicine. Dr. Harle was honored to have received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Bexar County Medical Society, as well as many other prestigious medical awards throughout his career. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Dorothy Pitts Harle; their sons: Judge Sidney Harle and wife, Carol; Mark Harle, M.D. and wife, Renee; Brian Harle, M.D.; his grandchildren who lovingly called him "Cito"; Kimberly, Paul, Michele, Luke and Jake; along with numerous friends, neighbors, and patients. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 14th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Porter Loring on McCullough.
