Antonio Calderon Obituary
Antonio B. Calderon Jr. born on June 3, 1959 was called to be with our Lord on Saturday July 19, 2014 at the age of 55. He is preceded in death by his Father Antonio Calderon Sr. and sister Vanessa Vela. Tony was loved and will be missed by his Mother Yolanda Steinberg, daughter Christa Calderon-Brower four grandchildren; Ava, Elle, Jacob (JJ) Charlotte, sister Xiomara Vela, niece Niedra Vela, grand nice Naviah, aunt Maria Rooman, uncle Rudy, aunt Toni, as well as numerous Holy Cross High School brothers and friends.
Tony was a beacon of love, kindness and selfless friendship for everyone in his life. Regardless of who you were Tony welcomed all into his heart with a charm and charisma that only he possessed.
He was a proud Marine, and a 1978 graduate of Holy Cross High School, but more importantly Tony was loving nephew, a caring son, and brother, as well as a loving father and uncle. To those whom Tony shared his life with he was more than a friend he was the cornerstone of our family. Inurnment to follow on Wednesday July 30th at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.

The time is passing quickly since you've passed away and it's still hard to believe that you are actually gone. I do pray that you are watching over Christa and her babies. Charlotte just recently had a really tough time, her seizure's became so violent that she broke her left left/femur and is in a full leg cast. She's on a new daily medication now and we're praying that she never has to go through another seizure! That poor sweet babe has been through so much in her life already at just 7 years old. I hope you are celebrating my Dad up there today is his 99th birthday, weird how you passed on his birthday.

Tony, six years already...Charlotte was born the year you passed, she was one month and two days old that day...she was still in critical care in the hospital but fighting like the warrior she is. She will be repeating kindergarten this year Christa and Jeremy think it best for her even though she excel's in learning and love's it as much as her big brother JJ does. Jacob will be in 4th grade, Elle 8th grade, Eva will be a Junior. Things are hard right now for all children and going back to school during this virus COVID-19. Please watch over our grandchildren during this school year and every year throughout their educations/lives. Amen. Tamme

Tony, it's always hard for me to acknowledge the day you passed away and left this world behind. You died on my dad's earthly birthday and that day is always tough on me but now there are the two of you on July 19th that I mourn, but you are both in Heaven and I try to focus on the beauty and comfort of that instead of the loss. I do hope that you are together with all the other relative's in heaven who look after our grandchildren and Christa.

All of our grandchildren are so wonderful and so perfect in their own individual ways. I know you are able to see your beautiful daughter and her big family and I know you are here visiting Charlotte with her other grandparent's from Heaven when I am caring for her here. Isn't she such a joy! A happy and content Hydro warrior, love her so much! And of course JJ and the girls, Eva and Elle. I would like to think you are with JJ with every step he take's and his schooling, he's doing such a wonderful job walking in the shoe's of autism, please stay with him and protect him always!
