Joann Medina Obituary
JoAnn L. Medina, 77, went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2015. She was born on April 28, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas to Eddie G. and Guadalupe S. Lopez. She is preceded in death by her parents and sons: Christopher G. and David A. Medina. Left to carry on JoAnn's memory is her loving husband of 61 years, Lionel Medina, Son: Lionel E. Medina. Daughters: Debra Ann Barboza and Margaret Rose Gonzalez. Daughter in law: Carol Medina (Chris). 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to her cousins: Bertha Pena, Henrietta Vara and Sister in law Lottie Myers who were ever supporting. JoAnn was adopted as a" Grandma" to everyone who needed her support. She was the greatest supporter in all her children ,grands- and greats-, athletic and non-athletic events. She was in the Prospect Hill Lady Auxiliary from the 1960's to the 1980's. An active supporter to her children's schools especially Holy Cross High School. She supported ALL her sons there since 1968 to present.
A Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. and a Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Berchmans Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery No. 2.

God Bless. Deepest condolences to Mrs. Medina's entire family. I feel very blessed that the good Lord crossed our paths. She gave me consejos that my Mom would have given. Our HC family is taking a hugh loss but we've gained another angel as she will continue to watch over us, she will be dearly missed.
