Walter Steinman Obituary

STEINMAN
MSGT (Ret.) Walter J. Steinman born December 9, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA passed away February 23, 2011. Jay as he was affectionately known was a devout Christian, husband, father, grandfather. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in New York, a Vietnam veteran and made the Air Force a career. He was a founding member of Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church and was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus and loved his ACTS brothers. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Charlene Steinman. He is survived by daughter Patty Steinman her life partner Doris Morales, Sons Daniel Steinman his wife Yvonne, Larry Lonas, Gerald Lonas his wife Sandy, Cliff Lonas and his beloved grandchildren, numerous friend and his dear pets Tanya, Precious and the "Bird". Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church 8:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
