Ruby Mattke Obituary

MATTKE
Ruby Ida Volkmann Mattke, born August 10, 1918, entered into eternal rest July 13, 2010 at the age of 91 years and 11 months. She was a member of Highland Park Lutheran Church for over 40 years. After retirement from Coca Cola Bottling Co., Snappy Snack Division, she and Eddie enjoyed fishing. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Eddie" Mattke; parents, Paul and Lillie Volkmann; daughter, Beverly Ann Greer and husband Donald; and son, Kenneth Edgar Mattke. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Shirley Opiela Roemer and husband Clarence; grandchildren, Frank (Robbie) Opiela, Dana (Dean) Hiatt, Mark (Karen) Opiela, Amie (Mark) Saxon, Donald, Jr. (Stacie) Greer; great grandchildren, Kristine, Kurtis, Corey, and Tyler Opiela, Ashley Schul, Hunter and Shyloh Saxon, Jordan and Robert Greer; sister, Gertrude (Gene) Smith; and brother, Wilbert (Rosie) Volkmann; numerous nieces and nephews; and other loving family members and friends.
Services
Visitation will be held Friday, July 16, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home with interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
