Such a sad day to hear of Fr. Eddy's passing over to the Lord. I served in the SE Deanery as a Pastoral Coordinator and had many contacts with Fr. Eddy. One time I served as chaplain to a Teen Acts at St. Benedict. I have always thought of him with fondness. He was very kind to me. I will miss him. Fr. Maury Smith, ofm

I never got the honor to meet Fr. Eddie.
However, I felt I knew him thru his Catholic Café TV Program. His words were always inspiring and encouraging. He always shared his human faults which we all have. Sadly, we have lost a great priest and a wonderful human being. May God shine his perpetual light upon him. Fr. Eddie will be missed.

Condolences to all his family. May God comfort you during this difficult time. God Bless!

Rest in Peace, Father Eddie.

Father Eddie and I attended Thomas Jefferson and shared many wonderful moments of life obstacles. In 1988, both my spouse and I assisted Father Eddie and Sister Dolores, in the Best Fund-Raise Event, through the Archdioceses for those young youths who had a calling to a trip to Medjugorje located in the former Yugoslavia. It is a small mountain village in the region of Bosnia, Herzegovina. You will be totally missed but forever in our hearts..

Father Eddie was a special man who gave of himself for his God, church , family and friends. I knew him from St. Matthew's, and other church gatherings. God called him home because he had served Him well. I was in attendance when his mother married my Uncle Fernando Guerra at St. John Berchman's. I pray that those who knew him will remember his caring words for all. We were all blessed to have him in our lives.May he rest in peace.

We were so blessed to have Father Eddie as our friend even if it was for a short time, we know his journey here on this earth was far too short but Father Eddie accomplished many wonderful humanitarian tasks some that we may never know of and he did it from his loving and kind heart. Father Eddie was a true man of "God" in many ways, we will miss him immensely , he was so down to earth but now he is in the arms of our Lord Jesus, jogging on the streets of gold. He had run the race of a good servant to our Lord. To be absent in body is to be present with the Lord. Our loss is heaven's gain .Father Eddie you will be in our hearts and thoughts forever you made a deep impact in our lives and we love you. Our condolences to your family and the countless friends and loved ones that are left behind mourning the loss but you've left many beautiful memories in our hearts. Thank you again for your faithful service. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
Our love, Rusty & Linda Henley
