Arnulfo G. Aguirre, known as Arnold to family and friends passed away September 30, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 77. He was born in Maxwell, Texas on June 2, 1936. Mr. Aguirre was preceded in death by his loving wife Herminia Aguirre. Mr. Aguirre is survived by his sons, Arnulfo Aguirre Jr., Abraham(Cecilia) Aguirre and Adrian (Denise) G. Aguirre; daughters, Rachel C. (Sam Trevino) Moczygemba and Annette Aguirre; brother Armando (Grace) Aguirre, sisters Rebecca (Patricio) Rodriguez and Velia Moran; grandchildren, Charisma Moczygemba, Mia N. Aguirre, Arica T. Aguirre, Adrian F. Aguirre Jr., Olivia D. Aguirre, Anahi Aguirre & Emiliano Aguirre; great grandson Ignacio A. Trevino, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Francisco Aguirre and Carolina Aguirre; brothers Gustavo Aguirre, Francisco Aguirre Jr., Eliu Aguirre, and Jesse Aguirre; sister Lilly Espinoza . Arnold grew up in Pawnee, Texas and became a member of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War conflict. He later trained to become a master plumber and put those skills to create his own business, Aguirre & Sons Plumbing. During the 30+ years in which he ran his plumbing business he partnered with many local businesses such as: H.E.B., Southwestern Bell, Wal-Mart & First Baptist Church to name a few. Throughout his life Arnold enjoyed living the country life, always tending to his livestock, planting assorted gardens and working on various projects around the farm. Arnold was a caring person who often visited his neighbors and friends, ensuring that they were in good health and good spirit, and offering any assistance they may have needed help with. He will be dearly missed by family & friends. In Lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to Vitas Hospice on behalf of Arnulfo G. Aguirre.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South from 1PM to 9Pm with a prayer service to be recited at 7PM. Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 4, 2013 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South at 11AM followed by interment in San Jose Burial Park.
