GARCIA
Augustine F. Garcia, born August 28, 1923 in Seguin, TX, entered into eternal peace on June 22, 2013 at the age 89. He will be reunited in heaven with his wife, Elodia C. Garcia; grandchildren Valerie Garcia, Richard J. Trevino Jr., Miguel Mauricio III; parents Julian and Ventura Garcia and several siblings. He will be dearly missed by his children: Augustine Garcia, Jr. (Mary), Diana Anthony (Richard), Orie Zych (Patrick), Irma Brunn (Carl), Olga Mauricio (Miguel), Leroy Garcia (Dora), Louis Garcia (Iris), Norma Trevino (Richard); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many family members and friends. Those who were blessed to know this great man would say that Augustine served as an inspiration for others to follow. Throughout his life, he exemplified what love, compassion, support, respect, honesty, humility and hard-work meant. He served in the United States Army during World War II, was employed as a Deputy for the Bexar County Sheriff Office and worked for 37 years in Civil Service for the Department of the Air Force at Lackland Air Force Base.
SERVICES
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Castillo Mission Funeral Home. Procession will depart the Funeral Home on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 8:30 AM for a 9:00 AM Mass at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
