Betsy Campbell Obituary
Betsy Lou Hunt Campbell was born in Ranger, TX at her grandmother's house on April 24, 1939. She went Home to be with her Lord and Savior as well as her parents, Dola and Clayton Hunt, on November 8, 2012. On December 19, 1959, she married Joe Lee Campbell who had fallen in love with her at first sight when they were students at Baylor University. For the next 53 plus years, Betsy and Joe were partners in fun, laughter, tears, and the rearing of three kids. Betsy is survived by husband, Joe and their children and families: Melissa Campbell and Alex Sawyer, with Avery and Oliver; Jennifer and Skip Hinman, with Parker, Hunter and Chase; and Barry and Noëll Campbell, with Zoë. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra O'Meara, sister-in-law, Mary Campbell, and by many nieces, nephews, and more cousins than she could count.

She will be remembered for the twinkle in her eyes, the hint of mischievousness in her laughter, her home cookin', her love of a great bargain, and her nickname her grandchildren gave her - "BeBe". She lived her faith on a daily basis and never waivered from that faith.

Betsy was an expert mover as she established new homes at over 23 locations during Joe's 33 year military career. Each new house quickly became a home as she put her touches on everything, giving all of her family feelings of love, warmth, and security.

Betsy and Joe moved back to San Antonio upon his retirement from the U.S. Air Force. Their lives quickly became blessed with a wonderful group of friends that were more like family.

A celebration of Betsy's life will be held at Wilson Chapel, First Baptist Church, in San Antonio on Friday, November 16th, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. The interment will be the following Monday November 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
