Christine "Chris" Seidenberger, age 63 of Seguin, passed away on January 7, 2014. Visitation will begin on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 5 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church followed by a vigil service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be recited on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating. Interment will follow in the Eden Cemetery. Chris was born on December 25, 1950 in Seguin, Texas to Grover Nagel and Alvina (Mayer) Fischer. Chris was born and raised in Seguin and was a proud Matador Class of '69 graduate. She graduated in May and chose love over college July 5, 1969 by marrying her sweetheart, Greg. This theme of love carried throughout her lifetime for her faith, her sister, her children, her beloved grandchildren, her pets, her family land, her 18 year employment with Kitty Hawk Animal Hospital, her neighbors and her friends. "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13. How blessed we all were to be showered by her Christ-like love for her 63 years! Today heaven will be a little sweeter. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years, Greg Seidenberger; son, Aaron Seidenberger and wife Allison; daughter, Amy Toledo and husband Rick; grandchildren, Tyler, Kai, and Lane Seidenberger, Isabela and Elias Toledo; sister, Kathy Thornton and husband Jim; brothers-in-law, Phil Seidenberger and wife Nancy, Sidney Seidenberger and Al Mozisek, and Russell Seidenberger and wife Tammy; sisters-in-law, Judy Seidenberger, Monica Hicks and husband James; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Seidenberger (grandson), Robert Seidenberger (nephew), Jake Hicks (nephew), Todd Vickers (nephew-in-law), Mark Haag (second son), Alan Bode (lifelong family friend), Billy Fishbeck (dear friend), Ryan Orr (dear friend). Honorary Pall Bearers include her younger grandchildren-Kai and Lane Seidenberger and Isabela and Elias Toledo.
