David A. Zaleski, born on September 28, 1931, in San Antonio, passed from this earthly life on Sunday, January 13, 2013. Surviving family members include his wife Mary Alice Zaleski, his daughter Anissa and husband Keith, grandchildren Tyler Davis and Casey Zaleski and a great grandaughter Abbey; nephew and niece Donald and Dale Zaleski, niece Shirley Davis and husband Frank, niece Sarita Thigpen, nephew Mark Fox and wife Karen and their children, Joshua, Jori and James of San Antonio; sister Betty Hand and her husband Donald also of San Antonio, their son James L. Hand, daughter Carol Medina and husband Ralph Medina and their son David. Numerous grand nieces and grand nephews also survive David. David Zaleski was a faithful member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church for over Fifty Years and a Patriot who was proud of his service in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1960 and enjoyed teaching Jr. High in the S.A.I.S.D. for more than thirty years. He always enjoyed talking with his former students in later years and always celebrated their progress in life. One could not ask for a better family member and friend. He always worked to help others, especially members of his family.
Visitation is scheduled at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, 1700 S.E. Military Drive in San Antonio on Thursday evening, January 17, 2013 from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. A funeral service is scheduled at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 502 Kayton Ave., San Antonio, Texas on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. followed by graveside services at Mission Burial Park South.
