Fernando A Ayala passed away on May 19, 2013 in Arlington Tx at the age of 53. He was born on October 1, 1959 in San Antonio TX to Carlota and Fernando M Ayala. He was a 1978 graduate from Thomas Jefferson high school. He went to the University of San Antonio and received a degree in criminal justice.Fernando worked as a computation & correctional specialist for the Bureau of prisons for 22yrs. Fernando was a gifted athlete who excelled at several sports but he had an absolute passion for baseball beginning at the age of 5 where he played for Peacock, St Pauls CYO, Horace Mann middle school, Thomas Jefferson hs, and for UTSA college. He played semi-professional and eventually transitioned to softball where he continued to play several nights a week with his softball family. His love and loyalty for those close to his heart was steadfast and unconditional. He was preceded in death by his mother Carlota Ayala and his brother in law Gregorio Bernal jr. Fernando is survived by his wife Vivian; son Ben; stepchildren, Michael, Daniel, Amanda, and Ruth; father Fernando M Ayala, sister Yolanda Ayala Bernal; nephews, Greg Bernal jr & wife Connie, Vicente & wife Kristie, Fernando among many family and numerous friends. Visitation will be Thursday May 23rd from 6-9 pm at Mount Olivet funeral home in Ft Worth Tx. Funeral service will be held Friday May 24th at St Michael the Archangel Catholic church in Grand Prarie Tx at 11am. Burial will follow at Dallas/Ft Worth cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations maybe given to the Humane Society of North Texas 1840 e lancaster ave Ft Worth Tx 76103
