Grace Clark Gerber passed away at her home in San Antonio, on Monday, October 1, 2012, following an extended illness. She was born November 7, 1929, in Littlefield, Texas, to parents, Charles and Ruby Clark. Grace lived in Corpus Christi for several years and was the first woman in that area to be licensed as a Real Estate Broker. She was a clothes designer, owned and operated two boutiques in the area, and acted as Executive Director of the local Multiple Sclerosis Society. Her hobbies and interests included skeet shooting, camping on Padre Island, and entertaining. After Grace and her husband moved to San Antonio, she was diagnosed with Lupus. She later became co-founder of the San Antonio Area Lupus Foundation as an involved and active member. Grace was artistic, expressing herself through painting, stained glass and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Curtis Scott Landrum; daughter, Rebecca Thompson Billman; brothers, Charles and Wesley Clark; and sister, Jackie Buck. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Loris Gerber; step-son, Karl Gerber and wife, Joan; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as an elegant lady with a loving and compassionate heart.
