Henry Carroll (Alex) Alexander departed this life on Saturday, May 10, 2008, in San Antonio. He was born October 11, 1938, in Burns Flat, OK, to Virgil and Minnie Ree Alexander. He was a graduate of Burns Flat High School, and served six months in the U.S. Army Reserve. He graduated from Southwestern State University in OK with a BS degree in Business Accounting. He worked for 40 years in Federal Service for the U.S. Air Force, with 4 years at Tinker AFB and 19 years at Wright-Patterson AFB in OH before ending his career at Randolph AFB, Texas. Alex is survived by his beloved wife Rita, whom he married in Bermuda on January 2, 1986; his sister Joy and husband Andy Alexander of Austin, TX; his children Steven and wife Carolynn Alexander of Cypress, TX, Brent Alexander of Dallas, TX, Kathy and husband Ben Piper of Redmond, WA, Patti and husband Glenn Boren of San Antonio, and Carl Schubert and wife Ellen of Dayton OH; and his grandchildren, Matthew Boren, Lindsay Piper, Daniel Boren, Kyle Piper, and Alexis Schubert. The family wishes to thank Dr. Rohit Kapoor and staff, and VITAS Hospice for their care and support. MEMORIAL SERVICE SATURDAY, MAY 17, 2008 11:00 A.M.
