Jaime Gonzalez Obituary
Mr. Jaime Cavazos Gonzalez, 55, of San Antonio, Texas, died peacefully on August 15 in his home with his wife of 29yrs, Lucila G. Gonzalez and his two sons Rosendo & Luis by his side. Mr. Gonzalez was born January 24, 1956, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon México, the first born of the late Rosendo Leal Gonzalez and Petra Cavazos
Gonzalez. At the early age of 21, Mr. Gonzalez inherited his role and responsibility as
head of the Rosendo Leal Gonzalez estate, which included managing San
Antonio's popular Mexican restaurant, Los Apaches Café that was established in 1927. From 2007 to present, Mr. Gonzalez worked as driver for the Northside
Independent School District. Mr. Gonzalez enjoyed children and ensured
their well-being and safety every day. He was skilled in many trades and was known as having the ability to "fix
anything." He will be most remembered for his generosity and friendship making friends wherever he went.
Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his spouse, Lucila Galvan Gonzalez; two sons,
Jose Rosendo & spouse Andrea, and Luis Alejandro; one granddaughter, Alyssa; his mother Petra Gonzalez and four siblings, Nely, Nora, Gerardo & spouse Margo, and Lupita; two nieces, Alisha-Brandie & spouse Duane,
and Amber; and nephews, Joshua & Marky; In-laws, Jose Benito & Josefina
Galvan; brother-in-laws, Ramiro & spouse Anita, Marcos, and Elias; many cousins, and other relatives.
Memorial Mass will be held Friday, August 26, at 3:00PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes, Texas. In lieu of flower
arrangements please make donations to St. Jude's Children Hospital bycalling 1.800.822.6344 and providing tribute number 28777434.

When I worked as a bus driver in this city many tourist would ask me where was there a good place to eat? I would forward them to Los Apaches Cafe because I ate there during my breaks. I wasn't going to send them to an expensive place, so they could have more money to buy gifts for their friends. I never met him because I would run in and run out to board my next bus I was going to drive.

When I was working as a bus driver I used to sent the tourists to the Cafe he managed, when they would ask me for a good place to eat. I drove the trolley going to Market Square. I knew there were others, but I felt this Cafe should also get the tourists. I never asked for a free taco because I never told anyone of sending the tourists to his place. RIP! I didn't know him personally, but felt why not give the Cafe some business from the tourists.
