June Goss-Moffitt Obituary
June Goss Moffitt was born in Galveston, Texas on January 26, 1918 to Frances and A.W. Walker. She peacefully went to be with her Lord on February 18, 2013. June was raised in Dallas, Texas and attended Woodrow Wilson High School. After briefly attending the University of Texas at Austin, she met Dr. Truett Goss and they married on February 9, 1940. They had six children and were married until the death of Dr. Goss in 1974. In 1978, June married Lt. Colonel A.F. Moffitt and remained married until his death in 1998. Over many years, June contributed her considerable talents to the Bexar County Dental Auxiliary, Texas Dental Society and the Alamo Heights United Methodist Church. Additionally, she was actively involved in supporting her children's activities and volunteered countless hours to their schools. June touched the lives of those she met with her warmth and ability to make others feel at ease. She loved the beauty of nature and listening to her treasured collection of music. Her greatest joy was being with family and friends. She will always be remembered for her love of others, her generosity, her kindness and her faith and courage. In addition to her two husbands, she is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Martha Ann Goss. She is survived by her daughters: Susan Parsons and husband, Lonnie; Linda Wester and husband, Stuart; sons: Truett Goss Jr., David Goss and wife, Connie; Alan Goss and wife, Barbara; grandchildren: Chris Parsons, Jeff Parsons and wife, Angela; Lindsay Wester, Shay Wester and wife, Sarah; Phillip Goss, Brian Goss and wife, Lezli; Kimberly Sawyer and husband, Gene; Kellie Lowe and husband, Jeff; Jenna Goss; and 11 great-grandchildren.
