Liliane Bell Obituary

BELL
Liliane Bell, daughter of Paul Maurice and Madeleine Cantin, passed away on September 6th, 2009. Liliane was born in France on March 20, 1937. In 1959 she married William G Bell of the U.S. Army. The couple moved to San Antonio and welcomed son William Jr. in 1960 and daughter Bernadette in 1965. Liliane became a U.S. citizen in 1966. Liliane worked for the North East Independent School District as a Special Needs Student Bus Aide for many years. She remained close to many of her co-workers and will be missed by them. In her later years, Liliane enjoyed the companionship of her special friend, retired SAPD officer Gordon Dial. Liliane is survived by her two children, William and Bernadette, and their spouses Roxanne and Jeff, four grandchildren, including Bradley, son of William and Roxanne, and two sisters, Jacqueline and Monique. Liliane's family wishes to thank the staff of Brooke Army Medical Center for their dedication and kindness in treating Liliane during her seven year battle with cancer. They also wish to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice, especially Melissa and Lisa, for their loving care during Liliane's final weeks. Those wishing to make contributions in lieu of flowers please give to The Christen Foundation, 5959 South Sherwood Forest Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70816. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 11, 2009 at 10a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
