Lowella Jane Chapman, age 77, of Jourdanton, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 , in Jourdanton, Texas. She is preceded in death by the love of her life for 56 years, Victor E. Maspero, Sr.; her father, Phillip J. Chapman; mother, Jeanette Marie Chapman; brother, William E. Chapman; sister, Rosella E. Cox and brother, James L. Chapman. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Kiolbassa and husband Robert of Jourdanton; brother, Phillip E. Chapman and wife Sandy of San Antonio; three grandchildren, Jerry Mercer, Jr., Mike Mercer and Cindy Sessions; eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren of Missouri and Floresville. Jane was employed by the City of San Antonio for 37 years and retired as payroll officer for the City Water Board of San Antonio. Jane loved her family greatly. She was always there to help them no matter what. She had many friends. She loved her dog, Katie and her cows, which each had a name. She had a way with her animal friends. She loved to garden and took pride in everything she did. Jane will be greatly missed by all. She was a very special lady. Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 West Oaklawn Road , Pleasanton from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Friday, October 30, 2009 . A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Hurley Funeral Home (Pleasanton). Interment will be at the San Miguel Cemetery in Cross, Texas .
