MARTINEZ
Lupe Arguijo Martinez died April 8, 2012. She is survived by her two sons, Roberto (Jimmie) and Ricardo (Michael), her sister, Val, two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was born to Melchora and Serapio Arguijo in Wilson County, Texas on March 18, 1919, one of seven siblings. She married Robert R. Martinez in 1942 and after WWII ended, had two sons. As a wife, she was devoted to her husband and as a mother she was always positive, supportive and loving to Bob and Ric, providing them with the guidance and encouragement that made them successful in their careers. She believed that God had goals for her on earth, to be a loving wife and to practice the qualities of motherhood. To her neighbors, she was always there to listen, to give advice and be a friend. Her excellent cooking (especially tamales at Christmas), great wisdom, peaceful charm and warm sense of humor were constant and adoring. With her husband, she loved dancing to conjunto music and traveling to the coast. Mom, you will be greatly missed and rest in peace in heaven with Dad. Special thanks to the nursing staff at the Regent Care Center, on Blanco Road for their exceptional nursing care, compassion and dedication to service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the San Antonio Chapter of the (829-1765).
