Our matriarch, Martha P. Flores, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and sister, was called home by the Lord on September 12, 2012, at the age of 75. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, on November 11, 1936. She is preceded in death by her parents, Trinidad & Mauricia Patino; and brothers, Arnulfo & Paulo Patino. It could be very appropriately said that Martha was full of life, and she lived it to the fullest. Her legendery cooking always brought the family together. She was the life of the party when it came to celebrating with family and friends, enjoying all types of music and dancing the night away. Her love of camping revealed her love for the outdoors. Above all, Martha's greatest commitment was to her family, the very people in her life who turned to her for guidance and support. Simply put, she loved and was loved by all. Martha is adored and will be missed by her husband of 55 years, Ismael Flores. Missing and celebrating Martha's life are her children, Victor Flores (Angie), Rosie Perez (Carlos), ChaCha Flores, John Rene Flores (Michelle), Leticia Flores & Joe Mark Flores (Stephanie); 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; siblings, Monica Trevino (Alfredo), Bertha Patino, Trinidad Patino Jr. (Carmen), Jesus Patino (Frances), Jose Luis Patino & Edna Patino; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Castillo Mission Funeral Home on Monday, September 17, 2012, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Procession departs the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery III. A very special thanks to Darlene Santos and the wonderful staff at Odyssey Hospice for their kind and dedicated service. Services under the direction of Castillo Mission Funeral Home.
